DUODENAL SWITCH
The duodenal switch combines a sleeve gastrectomy with an extensive intestinal bypass. It reduces stomach size and limits calorie absorption by rerouting food past most of the small intestine. This procedure offers one of the highest weight loss potentials and significant improvements in metabolic health but requires lifelong nutritional management and supplements.
SLEEVE SADI-S
The SADI-S (Single Anastomosis Duodeno-Ileal Bypass with Sleeve Gastrectomy) combines a gastric sleeve with an intestinal rerouting procedure. It promotes significant weight loss by limiting food intake and reducing calorie absorption. With fewer surgical connections than a traditional duodenal switch, it offers strong results and a lower risk of complications.
GASTRIC SLEEVE
The gastric sleeve, or sleeve gastrectomy, involves removing about 70-80% of the stomach, leaving a small, sleeve-shaped pouch. This restricts food intake and reduces hunger by lowering ghrelin hormone levels.
